120 buses to ply the route from Dec 1: Taposh

In the wake of missing two deadlines Dhaka South City Corporation President Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh announced yesterday that 120 buses will be operated by one company for the Kanchpur Bridge-Ghatarchar pilot line in Dhaka beginning on the 1st of December. The mayor stated this when he spoke to reporters following attending the meeting on the 18th of Bus Route Rationalisation Committee, which was held yesterday. At at least 120 non-AC busesand 78 brand new oneswill be operating along the route proposed. The name of the bus company is "Dhaka Nagar Paribahan", the mayor announced. The preparation work is done in the context of an agreement for joint venture. Nearly all preparations are completed. The rest of the work will be completed by December 1, Taposh said.
